** Shares of Beijer Ref BEIJb.ST are down 7% after investment
company EQT EQTAB.ST sold part of its stake in the Swedish
refrigeration wholesaler a discount
** Beijer Ref shares track their worst day since June 2023,
if losses persist
** Following media reports on the deal, EQT confirmed to
Reuters it had indirectly sold shares in Beijer Ref worth SEK
3.3 billion ($324 million)
** The placement by Breeze TopCo S.à r.l., a company
ultimately owned by EQT, included 20 million Beijer Ref class
B-shares, the Swedish investor said in a statement
** Offer price was SEK 165.00 per share, corresponding to a
discount of 7.2%
** "By selling a part of its holdings in the company, EQT
Private Equity is realising a portion of its significantly grown
financial exposure since its investment in 2020 and can return
capital to its investors, as well as broaden out the company's
shareholder base," EQT said
** Following transaction, EQT will hold 13.9% of the share
capital and 17.4% of voting rights in Beijer Ref, remaining the
largest shareholder
($1 = 10.1840 Swedish crowns)
